The impacts of the Belt and Road Initiative on structural changes in international logistics and transport system

Lecture topic: The impacts of the Belt and Road Initiative on structural changes in international logistics and transport system

    Keynote speaker:Tae Woo Lee

Lecture time: 18:30 on July 8rd

    Venue: 308, scientific research building

    Abstract

Since its inception in 2013, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) have launched 695 projects in 98 countries along the Belt and Road. Among those, 217 projects are related to transport infrastructure, such as roads, railways, airport, seaports, and terminals (including dry ports). They play an indispensable role in developing economic and transport corridors, improving transport connectivity and market accessibility among the countries, drawing their impacts on structural changes in international logistics and transport system. This lecture aims to illuminate the outcomes of the BRI studies related to transport and international logistics studies since 2013 and to highlight its impacts on structural changes in international logistics and transport system.
